Two commercials, which are available for viewing online, demonstrate how flu shots were marketed to the general public in 1976. Far too many people (including chiropractors) are not aware of historical events that took place during the 1917 - 1918 Spanish Flu years, which involved chiropractors caring for thousands that suffered influenza infection during those times. With such a firestorm of media coverage and fear surrounding the Swine Flu Pandemic, it would be irresponsible not to attempt seeking knowledge regarding influenza events of the past.

The news is volcanic this week with Swine Flu pandemic outbreak stories, not just in the United States, but worldwide. Wearing surgical masks, using hand sanitizer, and frequent washing of hands in hot soapy water, is an activity that has increased amongst many in the affected populations this past week. News reports of antiviral agents, scientific flu medications, and the creation of new flu vaccines that will stop the swine flu strain, have been prevalent in the discussion. This isn't the first time flu vaccine science has made the news, and it certainly won't be the last.

There's no doubt the topic will come up in a chiropractic setting, and chiropractors are likely going to offer advice more on the side of wellness and prevention versus use of antiviral agents, vaccines, and taking of medications. One California Chiropractic office had a Swine Flu Handout prepared for Monday morning distribution. We've included a copy of the text here, for those wanting to educated with similar handouts.

This morning, seven thousand five hundred marathon runners, and twenty five thousand half marathon runners, take to the streets of Nashville, on a course that runs through downtown Nashville, with a finish line at LP Field. A hundred thousand cheering fans line the streets as 2009 Country Music Marathon participants pass by, making their way through Nashville, with 50 musical bands playing on 27 entertainment stages along the way. Hundreds of high school cheerleaders motivate marathon participants to the finish line, and a post race country music concert follows Saturday night.

Live coverage of the 26.2 mile long distance running event will be on TV and live online as well. Men's and women's marathon gold medalists from the Beijing Olympic Games headline the field as Universal Sports presents live online and same-day television coverage of the 2009 Flora London Marathon, part of the World Marathon Majors series.

There are steps to take which can help minimize those risks, but individuals seeking to unfairly profit are constantly applying new methods to old techniques, in hopes of defrauding people out of their items and money. Having operated a popular chiropractic classified advertising web site for more than 10 years, we've seen our fair share of those attempting to defraud people when items are for sale. Fortunately, the user community has grown more knowledgeable, developing an increased level of awareness, for what is potentially fraudulent activity, or an online cyber scam. The cyber neighborhood watch group has done an impressive job in rooting out the worms and bad apples.

This morning, twenty five thousand runners took to the streets of Hopkinton, on a marathon course that ran through Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton, and Brighton, on a 26.2 mile route into Boston, with a finish line in Copley Square. Hundreds of thousands of cheering fans lined the streets as 2009 Boston Marathon participants passed by, making their way downhill and uphill (rinsed and repeated), through neighborhoods and business districts, enduring Heartbreak Hill, and relying on both internal and external motivation, as they reached the homestretch, and finally the finish.

A brief check on classified ad listings and I noticed there's 502 Practices posted for sale. Doesn't look like things are slowing down from the 2008 record listings of classified ad postings.

According to an article in the New England Journal of Medicine, the answer may be yes. According to New York City Health Commissioner Thomas Friedan and Kelly Brownell, director of the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity and a professor at Yale University, a sugar tax would result in health benefits no matter how revenue from the taxing of soft drinks would be spent.

While there are hundreds of techniques taught to chiropractors worldwide, UC approaches to care focus primarily on the upper two first vertebra in the neck. Non-Profit Chiropractic Organization (NPCO) is excited to announce its' participation in the 2009 Bank of America Chicago Marathon being held on Sunday, October 11, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois. As a Contributing Charity, NPCO has committed to recruiting a team of 70 runners to "run with a vision."

Depending on the searchers location, results seen can vary, for example seeing ads for Florida Chiropractors when searching while in the state. If you're doing PPC ad campaigns, it's always good to review how others are approaching the market.
