"We're just excited about the race, win or lose, it's going to be a rush." - William C. Eriksen

On November 20, 2009 Doctor of Chiropractic, William C. Eriksen, will be roaring off into the trek across the Baja peninsula. This will mark the beginning of the 42nd Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.

Dr. Eriksen will be piloting the red Predator X-18, a Baja Class 2 vehicle. He won't be the only member from Team Eriksen racing on behalf of the non-profit organization Racing for Chiropractic®. His daughter, Teddi Eriksen will be his co-pilot. Teddi graduates from Palmer chiropractic school in May 2010.

The Baja 1000 attracts over 350 racers and 300,000 race enthusiasts from all over the world, but only about 65.4 percent of racers make it through the desert terrain and finish within the time restraint. Entries come from 39 states and 14 countries to participate in this 672.85 miles (or 1,082.85 kilometers) trek beginning and ending in Ensenada, Mexico.

The Predator X-18 is built to handle 300 horsepower with 155 foot lbs of torque at 5500 RPM. It's a finely engineered vehicle with no need for modifications to play hard. The affordable, high-end and fully loaded Predator X-18 was designed not only for reliability but also for those who want more.

It's not about the glory for Dr. Eriksen and his daughter: they are racing the Baja 1000 to spread awareness about chiropractic health. Racing for Chiropractic® uses funds generated from any form of racing Team Eriksen participates in to foster chiropractic research and education.

To track Dr. Eriksen live visit the International Racing Consulting Web site at www.racetheworld.net or watch it on NBC Sports December 19 from 2:00-3:00pm Eastern Time. Dr. Eriksen and Teddi Eriksen will be piloting the red Predator X-18 race number 209.
