Ronald Reagan Centennial Super Bowl XLV Tribute WOC

If you had the privilege to attend Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers today, you'd get to see a centennial tribute video to Ronald Reagan just before kickoff, playing inside the stadium, on one of the worlds biggest TV screens. Just before kickoff on Sunday, the tribute video of Ronald Reagan will air inside Dallas Stadium. For a bit of chiropractic history, watch the video around 1 minute, and see if you can spot Reagan sitting in front of a WOC microphone, as he talks about his early days as a sports announcer.

Reagan’s love of sports led him to his first job. Around one minute into the video, you can hear the voice of Ronald Reagan talking about achieving his dream, that dream was beginning his career as a sports announcer. The photo clipping shows two sets of radio call letters, WHO and WOC. What people may not know is that WOC stood for Wonders of Chiropractic. Yes, Ronald Reagan was employed by non other than BJ Palmer, the developer of chiropractic.

So on this Super Sunday in 2011, not only do we have a bit of chiropractic history in video; remembering a former United States President was once employed by Palmer owned radio station, we have the son of a California chiropractor, playing on the world stage in his first Super Bowl. That’s right, Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers dad Ed Rodgers is a chiropractor in Chico, CA. Awesome!
