DALLAS - Parker University will celebrate its 30th anniversary during a special homecoming event on its campus in Dallas, Texas from October 26-28. Parker invites alumni, students, faculty, industry partners, and all other chiropractors, massage therapists, and chiropractic assistants to join in the celebration.
The event will feature customized education tracks for chiropractors, massage therapists, and chiropractic assistants. The Homecoming Education Program classes include The Multiple Causes of the Vertebral Subluxation and Dis-ease, The Neurology of Stress, and Lower Extremity: Pathomechanics of Injury and Research Regarding Management and Prevention. DCs can earn up to 20 hours of continuing education credit, and MTs can earn up to 12 hours.
The homecoming gathering will include numerous events, luncheons, and get-togethers including the annual Oktoberfest celebration held on Friday where attendees will have the chance to reconnect with old friends, professors, mentors, and classmates. Also on Friday, the Parker Alumni Association will host an Alumni Awards Luncheon. In addition, a birthday party will be held on Saturday to celebrate Parker's 30 Year Anniversary.
"It's amazing how the school that Dr. Parker created 30 years ago has had such an impact on the profession today and has influenced the lives of so many," said Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, Parker University president. "In honor of Dr. Parker and so many others that have made these 30 years possible, it's our pleasure to host this event and celebrate Parker, chiropractic, and massage therapy."
Parker has strengthened the science, philosophy, and art of chiropractic for 30 years and Philosophy Fest-a prominent feature held on Saturday, brings another opportunity to refine and develop a stronger understanding of the chiropractic philosophy. Philosophy Fest attendees will hear inspiring messages from 16 industry leaders including Dr. Arno Burnier, Dr. David Browning, Dr. Jay Morgan, Dr. Shawn Powers, Dr. Tracy Wilson, and more.
Students interested in pursuing a career in chiropractic or massage therapy are invited to attend homecoming events on Friday and Saturday at no charge. An open house event will be held on Saturday, which will give future students a chance to be exposed to the philosophy of both Parker and the chiropractic profession.
Along with other homecoming festivities, 5, 20, and 25 year class reunions will be held. For more details about each reunion, visit www.parker.edu alumni-upcoming-events.
"We hope to see the familiar faces of our students, past and present," said Dr. Mancini. "This is also a time for Parker alumni to recognize and celebrate the great impact they've had around the world in the patients they serve."
In addition, exhibitors will offer and display cutting-edge products and technologies. To register for the homecoming event or for more information, visit www.parker.edu/homecoming.
