On May 23, 2013, the investiture of chiropractor Edwin Cordero took place on the campus of Sherman College of Chiropractic, during the 40 year anniversary of Sherman Chiropractic Lyceum. The event was held under the big tent on the grounds of the Sherman campus, with chiropractors traveling from as far as Japan and Argentina, to be in attendance.

Many notable chiropractors were in the audience for Dr. Edwin Cordero's investiture, including several presidents of other chiropractic colleges. Drs. Guy Riekeman of Life University and Brian Kelly of Life Chiropractic College West were among those I recognized. I was happy to see Irene Gold and Dr. Nell Williams in attendance as well, both with front row seats for the event.

The invitation to the investiture read as follows...

The Board of Trustees of Sherman College of Chiropractic requests the honor of your presence at the Investiture of Edwin Cordero, D.C. as the fifth president of the college.

Thursday, the twenty-third day of May Two Thousand and Thirteen seven o'clock in the evening on the campus of Sherman College Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Rains had fallen earlier in the day on the campus at Sherman College of Chiropractic, and while the temperatures were warm and the humidity high inside the tent, Dr. Cordero kept our attention as he shared his vision for the future of Sherman and chiropractic worldwide. We learned about Dr. Cordero's move as a young man to the United States from Puerto Rico, his time served in the U.S. Navy, his education at Life University, his successful chiropractic practices in the state of Florida, and a family that has stood behind him throughout every step he has taken in his journey to become president at Sherman.

Those that have attended Dynamic Essentials know about DE Moments, those that attended ADIO Institute of Straight Chiropractic remember ADIO Moments, and those that have been to New Beginnings can relate to New Beginnings Moments. Regardless of what chiropractic school you attended or where you grew up in chiropractic, those in attendance for the presidential investiture and Sherman Lyceum repeatedly commented on the energy that was present, it was electrifying.
