Anthrax Shot’s and Death – Yes or No

The Anthrax vaccine has been back in the news since the recent report of a death possibly related to the vaccine. ( See the article: Death Connected To Anthrax Vaccine )

Two news feeds recently appeared within moments of each other and they give a great example of how the media differs in their views on the issue.

Headline from Fox news by way of Reuters

Anthrax shots, illness linked, U.S. Congress told

Headline from MSNBC by way of Associated Press

FDA: No anthrax shot-illness link

Read the first headline and you may logically think that there is a relationship between the anthrax vaccine and the numerous illnesses that have been reported.

Read the second headline and you may notice a governmental association is stating there is no link whatsoever.

If that is not confusing enough, take a look at the opening statements:

Reuters – “The military’s mandatory anthrax inoculations are making people sick and should be halted or made voluntary, a series of witnesses who became ill after taking the shots told Congress on Tuesday.”

Associated Press – “Despite more than 1,500 reports of adverse reactions, ‘no clear patterns’ have emerged in any illness said to be related to the anthrax vaccine being given to the military, the Food and Drug Administration told Congress on Tuesday.”

Please read both articles so you can better understand the issue. In one article, a U.S. service member told the House Government Reform Committee “please don’t abandon us.” These people are serving their country, they have a right to be heard and their health care choices should be respected.

Do you think possibly that the powers that be behind Reuters and the Associated Press have different agendas? What other health news are you receiving from the major media that may require a second look?
