Not only that, depending on where you live, it’s time to turn the clock back on November 2 (Sunday), for daylight savings time. 32 Chiropractor Businesses For Sale and the Changing Economy

Checking my Google feed reader over the weekend I was stunned to see more than 30 chiropractic businesses had been listed for sale in classified ads posted on planetchiropractic.com. I don’t know if it’s a sign of our changing economy or just a popular time of year for chiropractors to begin listing practices for sale. I know I’ve never seen 30+ practice listings posted in such a short time before. Checking today I noticed the current number of businesses listed for sale in the United States tops 780. That’s a whole bunch of chiropractic offices.

Voting yes on Proposition 8 would eliminate the rights of same-sex couples to marry in the state of California. It’s a hot issue here in Los Angeles, one I have been hearing people talk about more frequently as we get closer to election Tuesday. We’ve really been trying to avoid the discussion of politics in the office, but the topic on at least a few of these propositions has come up more than once during adjusting hours in our chiropractic clinic. Are things this crazy in your state?

NVIC Says Government Denies Gardasil Risks

The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) is calling on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to publicly release the study design, data and names of principal investigators involved in a statement this week maintaining that Gardasil vaccine is safe with no serious side effects. NVIC will also be calling on the newly elected President and members of Congress to remove the nation’s vaccine safety monitoring system from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and place it in a separate entity reporting directly to Congress to restore trust in the nation’s public health laws based on federal mass vaccination policies.

Apparently the task has not been such an easy job, since one presidential candidate reportedly refuses to reply with a written position. The only official response as to a presidential candidate position on chiropractic and Medicare is from the office of Barack Obama.

Too Bad Joe Was Not a Spine Plumber

Everywhere I’ve looked on the Internet these past 48 hours I’ve seen searches related to Joe the Plumber. It’s reached the point that search engines are even suggesting related terms such as obama plumber and joe the plumber keating. What about all the “normal” plumber searches, like those seeking local plumbers, a plumber in Los Angeles, or a plumbing drain specialist in San Diego? In the past 10 years that I’ve been overseeing operations at planetchiropractic.com, I can’t think of more than three times that we’ve actually agree to some sort of link exchange. Not that it wasn’t a good idea at the time, it’s just not something we did.
