News Archives For December 2010
planetc1.com-news@4:32 pm PST It's no wonder people are still suffering from Repetitive Stress Injuries (RSI), which are primarily caused by overuse of computer keyboards, computer mice, and other electronic gadgetry. Sadly, I don't see the situation getting any better, regardless how hard chiropractors and other healthcare professionals work to educate consumers, on proper work environment ergonomics.
planetc1.com-news@10:22 pm PST Parker College of Chiropractic presented sponsor scholarships to four students during an all-school assembly. The student recipients were awarded for their leadership and contributions to the college.
planetc1.com-news@8:12 pm PST Life Chiropractic College West presented doctor of chiropractic degrees to 56 candidates during its 57th graduation celebration on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Chabot College Performing Arts Center in Hayward. The doctor of chiropractic degree represents a four-academic-year program of study and clinical internship. At the ceremony, valedictorian honors went to Susan Wang of San Jose, California, for the graduating class of Summer 2010 and Julie Gray of Orangevale, California, for the graduating class of Fall 2010.
planetc1.com-news@2:32 pm PST Who is the world's most awesome chiropractor? If you're a doctor of chiropractic, hopefully you're telling yourself that the world's most awesome remover of subluxation interference is you. For if you exude that in your presence of being, non-chiropractors are more likely to refer to you as the world's most awesome chiropractor, when asked their opinion. Today's great chiropractors aren't born, they are made.
planetc1.com-news@10:11 am PST December holidays can be a stressful time. Drivers are distracted, people are running all about town buying gifts, workers are handling longer hours than usual, and folks are generally stressed. As a Los Angeles doctor of chiropractic, I think we see that stress on the streets (and on the adjusting table) as much as any metro area chiropractor does. We do our best to make the holiday season bright and stress-free as possible. Having awesome weather in Los Angeles helps (no snow, ice and road salt on the ground) but it feels at times everyone's rushing to LAX International Airport, on their way to see family, and perhaps getting their last chiropractic adjustment of the year.
planetc1.com-news@5:32 pm PST Parker leaders, Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College of Chiropractic, and Dr. Gilles Lamarche, vice president of Parker Seminars traveled to Haiti where they served the people in the earthquake devastated country. Demonstrating Parker's dedication in spreading chiropractic worldwide, the two provided much needed care for the people in the destitute country.
planetc1.com-news@11:33 am PST The Alumni Association of Life Chiropractic College West named Rachae Bell, a third quarter junior from Davenport, Washington as its 2010 Student of the Year. During the annual gala dinner and dance on October 23, Bell was honored for her exceptional contributions to Life West and the chiropractic profession. |
