Parker Seminars Las Vegas January 2012

Parker Seminars is taking place in Las Vegas on January 19-21, 2012. The three day chiropractic extravaganza will be held at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Casino, located just off the world-famous Las Vegas Strip and easily accessible via the Las Vegas Monorail. Parker Seminars Vegas is the world’s largest chiropractic seminar and it’s a great way to get started on developing yourself in the new year.

Palmer Chiropractic students donate toys and time to Toys for Tots

Members of the Palmer Student Alumni Foundation (PSAF) spent the last several weeks collecting toys and monetary donations from students, faculty and staff at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, for this year’s Toys for Tots collection by the United States Marine Corps. Their efforts paid off as they donated nearly $2,000 worth of toys on Dec. 10. In addition, they teamed up with members of the Palmer Campus Guides to volunteer at the Toys for Tots warehouse on Dec. 10.

Parker University Presents Scholarships to Students

DALLAS — Parker University College of Chiropractic recently presented $23,000 in scholarships to 18 students. The scholarships committee comprised of Parker faculty, staff, students, and alumni, select recipients based on anonymous applications, the student’s financial need, academic achievements, character, extracurricular participation, leadership, and more. The students were presented one of six types of scholarships including corporate partner, leadership, alumni, memorial, Parker Alumni Association, and endowment scholarships.

Important Google Health Service Announcement

I received an e-mail recently from the Google Health Service that Google Health will be discontinued as of January 1, 2012. According to the e-mail, after that date, users will no longer be able to access Google Health, and any third-party services that are linked to one’s Google health profiles, will no longer be able to send data to or receive data from those profiles.

Deck the Chiropractic Office with Boughs of Holly

Chiropractic offices all over the world are getting decorated for this year’s holiday season. Not all chiropractors decorate their office for Halloween, and some for pumpkins and other decorations out for Thanksgiving, but most offices will at least have minimal decorations up for Christmas. At ADIO Chiropractic in Los Angeles, we like to go all out. There’s hundreds of feet of colored lights, a Christmas tree that nearly reaches the ceiling, and a 60″ TV playing the season’s best holiday Blu-Ray movies.
