April Events and KiroTastic Seminar Schedules

Time to make sure your airline flights are booked, hotel blocks are confirmed, and you've got your bags packed, because there is a slew of chiropractic seminars, conferences, events, and meet ups taking place throughout the United States (and in other parts of the world). December is about the only time of year that chiropractic conferences go quiet, but we are a long way from the winter holidays. For the month of April, I have organized a list of event related blog posts, seminars that are scheduled, and on-topic news articles. Check the links for more details on any of those you're planning to attend.

Last month, Dr. Dorausch posted a similar list for events in the month of March and April, and there are two mentioned in that post, that have not come about yet. There is the Annual California Jam of 2008 which is taking place at the Orange County performing arts Center, located in Costa Mesa, California. The event is conveniently just minutes away from John Wayne Airport and it features a stellar lineup of chiropractic speakers.

Also in April is the Schofield Chiropractic Training, taking place on April 12, in Las Vegas, Nevada. There are Schofield Chiropractic events taking place in New York, Northern California, Chicago, and Phoenix, but this is the only one in 2008 going down on the Las Vegas strip. Remember, what happens in Vegas, grows your practice on Monday.

For some reason if you’ve been wondering, many of these events and conferences are not just for chiropractors. Events like those put on by the Dead Chiropractic Society, Schofield Chiropractic Training, Parker Seminars, Dynamic Essentials, and New Beginnings Chiropractic Conferences provide excellent opportunities for students, staff, spouses, patients, and people interested in the industry of chiropractic. While some chiropractic events are small, like the Brentwood Spline Meetup, others attract hundreds, if not thousands, of professionals from around the world.

From various different sources come a number of other conferences and events taking place throughout the next two months. There is a Whiplash and Spinal Trauma Series taking place in Phoenix, in April and May (event sponsored by the International Chiropractors Association), CCA license renewal seminars, such as one in San Rafael (April) and Fresno (May).

We just missed a Gonstead technique seminar in Southern California, but there is information included in the post with details about upcoming technique events. ChiroEurope Extravaganza takes place in Mallorca, Spain, and this really looks like a spectacular event. If pediatrics are your thing, you may want to investigate Webster Technique Certification seminars taking place near you. Those events are put on by the ICPA and I usually sponsored by one of the US chiropractic colleges.

There’s a great blog resource for those of you new to Continuing Education in the chiropractic profession. It covers some of the basics related to continuing education and relicensing events in the United States.

Also on the calendar is Parker Seminars in Montréal Canada beginning on May 15 of 2008. The Parker event will be held at the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure. The California Chiropractic Association has a relicensing event taking place in San Jose the same weekend. That event includes adjusting technique and patient education and it will be held at the Hotel Valencia Santana Row in San Jose, California.

Here is to healthy and successful months in April and in May 2008. Enjoy your travels!
