The fourth of July is the time we here in America celebrate the signing of the Declaration Of Independence. The signors of this declaration pledge “our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor” for independence from the British. The USA flag has the color red for valor, zeal and fervency; the white for hope purity, cleanliness of life, and rectitude of conduct; the blue, the color of heaven, for reverence to God, loyalty, sincerity, justice and truth. The star symbolized dominion and sovereignty, as well as lofty aspirations. The constellation of the stars within the union, one star for each state, is emblematic of our Federal Constitution, which reserves to the States their individual sovereignty except as to rights delegated by them to the Federal Government. Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the "land of the free and the home of the brave" so they can begin their American Dream. Today we are free to practice because of the many men and women pioneers that had gone to jail for chiropractic. Some in our profession are paralyzed by fear and uncertainty. They let the insurance company or the status quo dictate how they practice. Chiropractic is unique. An insurance company or a medical standard cannot dictate the need for chiropractic care. If your purpose is to correct subluxation to allow an individual the ability to express their ultimate potential then you are free and the pioneers are being honored for their fight. If you are doubtful or afraid and looking for independence consider the tips below to set you free. Success Tips 1) Reflect on the privilege and purpose of practicing chiropractic.
2) Is it time for you to rise up and free yourself from self-imposed or any other form of bondage or oppression?
3) Is there any area of your practice that it is time for you to claim your independence?
4) Is there something or someone (maybe yourself) that is holding you back?
5) What will be the banner and colors you will choose to symbolize chiropractic?
6) Evaluate the action steps necessary to fulfill your dreams and honor chiropractic by doing it. Until we meet again, may angels guard and guide you, may beauty surround you, and love enfold you. I am yours in guarding the Sacred Trust, Coach Shawn Powers. ----------
