Hayward, CA -- Dr. Joseph Ferguson, dean of the college at Life Chiropractic College West, is one of several program directors traveling to Madrid, Spain to help organize this year's World Federation of Chiropractic/Consortium of European Chiropractic Educators/Association of Chiropractic Colleges Education Conference at the Royal University Center Maria Cristina. The meeting will be held from October 14 to October 16.

The title of the conference will be "Clinical Training in Chiropractic Education: Meeting the Demands of a New Era". Discussions and presentations will focus on how chiropractic educators and organizations can best prepare graduates for clinical practice. Considering the constantly changing healthcare environment, chiropractic practitioners must continue to improve their skills of collaboration, integration, and accountability. Groups will share experiences on evidence-informed best practices and patient safety.

Dr. Ferguson stated, "Chiropractic is a global phenomenon, and it is more important than ever that our institutions collaborate with one another to advance our profession. This year's conference provides an excellent opportunity for the presentation and exchanging of ideas relevant to this progress."
