Polio Vaccines, HIV, and the Press
planetc1.com-news email to the editor

The news feeds began Monday evening, September 11th, 2000. By Tuesday in the U.S., it was front page headline news. "HIV's link to Polio Vaccine Doubted" read the front page headlines of USA Today. It was on T.V., in the paper, and on the internet.

On the internet, the reports were pushed heavily via Yahoo!, MSNBC, ABCNEWS.com, Foxnews.com, and more. Some headlines read as follows:

FOX News: AIDS Experts Say HIV Not Linked to Polio Vaccine

ABC News: The Origins of AIDS - Evidence Does Not Support Polio Vaccine Theory

MSNBC: HIV not tied to polio vaccine

When you read the articles, you may notice the similarities as there are two sources to the articles, the Associated Press and/or Reuters. Read both article sources very carefully.

Some highlights to notice:
The original vaccine was not available for testing since it was used up during the vaccination program.
When asked if the tests definitively rule out the vaccine theory, a New York University School of Medicine microbiologist involved in the study said... "No" (but what do the headlines say?)

Is the Reuters article a plug for the polio vaccine? Is there possibly some other agenda here? Less than twenty-four hours later we see these headlines:

Nando Health/Science: Somalian children targeted for vaccinations

Yahoo! News: UNICEF starts polio vaccinations in Somalia

When the theory was first suggested, it was considered absolute nonsense not even worthy of being looked into and received "little interest" from the scientific community. Why is it now front page news?

Planet Chiropractic: Lessons Sought in the Origin of AIDS
A writer of a recent book says that AIDS may have jumped from chimps to humans via an experimental polio vaccine. The scientific community has expressed little interest.
