Want your Chiropractic Practice to Grow

If you want your chiropractic practice to grow you need to stop using the term “I’m Busy.” When you are busy there is no room for growth. That word limits you. If you are busy then you are telling the world that you are maxed out.

It’s like the story of the bucket. If you have a bucket full of water and you try to put more water in the bucket it will flow over the top. Same with your practice. If you are at your capacity then you will not grow. You can wish to grow. You can pray to grow. If your bucket is already full then it won’t matter how many new patients you get your volume might increase temporarily but it will not stay there. If you want to have a larger practice you have to enlarge your vision and your capacity to serve. You have to start looking for ways to streamline your chiropractor practice. You might need more support staff. You might need to change the time you spend with each patient. You might have to more aggressively advertise either internally or externally.

There are so many changes that you can make though none of them are near as important than the changes that you need to make between you ears. In your mind you need to make your bucket bigger and since your mind believes what you tell it the first step is to start seeing yourself with room to grow. Can you picture yourself with more energy flowing out of you? If you can’t then you probably aren’t ready to grow. If you are afraid to be busier than it is very likely that you won’t get busier. If you use the term busy than you are limiting your growth. If you are bored in your practice and you are ready to serve more than you are in the position to make that happen especially if you are willing to do the things that you will have to do to make that happen. The what to do will flow simply if you can see it in your minds eye. You will create in your reality what you have going on in your head. The doing part is a lot easier than then seeing it part.

Why do you want your practice to grow? If you don’t have good answers to this question you probably won’t make your bucket bigger either. Some people have to experience pain with their bucket the size it is now before they are willing to do what it takes to make their bucket bigger.

A great way to start is by looking at how busy you think you are. Stop using the term busy. It makes me tired to think that I am busy. It is emotionally draining. Why would I want to set up my life in such a way that I think that I am too busy? The term stops the flow.

I’ve heard that if you want something done give it to someone who is busy to do it because obviously they are a do-er. They see themselves as productive yet if they were too busy they probably won’t get too much done because that feeling often paralyzes us and gives us an excuse to not accomplish as much as we are capable of.

In that context I want to be considered busy or a do-er. I am a do-er. I get things done. I create a world that I love to live in. I am never too busy. I am always looking for opportunities to serve and make a difference.
