We’re Not Dancing Yet – Update 1.8

Happy New Year – Y2K+1!

* File updated on 01/04/2001
* Changes in News
* Payments to Affiliates

If your reading this you know that we have launched our new site for 2001. (unless this is your first visit) While I am glad we have been successful in getting the new site in place, we still have a lot of work to do throughout the week as we work out some of the bugs.

Please excuse the minor delays and possible bugs that appear as you browse through the site this week. I know many of you are wondering where your old pages are and I plan to do my best to help you find what you may be looking for.

Several things to note:

Events:
If you have posted events to our event system during the past two weeks, you’ll need to contact us regarding your account so we can get your events for 2001 online.

If you have not seen our new events system, check it out. There are several new features like “my calendar” which enables you to plan your year of chiropractic events online. Several dozen chiropractic groups and organizations are posting their 2001 schedule throughout this month so there should be lots to choose from.

Email:
Email services appear to be working just fine but there are still a few settings to be tweaked. Tired of getting unwanted mail? Sign up for our newsletter, then unsubscribe, then sign up again. It’s all designed so that you can manage your own account.

If you need to reach me this week, pick up the phone and call: 213 689-3161, or, send an email and I will respond as soon as I am able.

News:
Your news headlines now post to the main page of the site but you can also view them here. Did you notice the news archives on the home page? They are right there so you don’t have to go searching for them.

How fast is your news loading? Quickly, slowly? If you notice something unusual, feel free to email me (use the envelope above) with a note.

News formatting. Many of the news articles from the past two years are being checked for broken links, missing photos, etc… An effort is being made to make sure that even the “old” news will look fresh in case your planning on printing it out for your patients or folks in the office. (Hey, only the best for you.)

Audio & Video:
The multimedia service went online this afternoon and should now be available worldwide. Emails from students at Life University tell me we’re streaming on campus. (how cool)

All audio & video links are now located here: https://planetc1.com/multimedia-pages-planet-chiropractic/

If you tried to load audio before today and you had problems, you may want to try again. Click this link below for a test. You may be asked to download a “codec”, if so, click “yes” and the audio should begin playing.

Click Here To Test Your Audio

Did it work?
If Yes: great!

If No:
click the “comments” above and leave me a note and include info about what happens when you click. Tell me what kind of computer your using (PC or Mac) and which browser (netscape, internet explorer, etc…) and I’ll see what I can do to get you going.

If you are having any problems with audio, check to make sure you have the right tools on your computer. If your running Windows 98 you should have no problems. If you are running Windows 95, you may want to upgrade your Internet Explorer to version 5.0 or higher. I recommend Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1 and Internet Tools. Click here to visit MS and download.

Don’t forget you need to have speakers to listen and you need to turn them on. 🙂

Affiliates:
The affiliate program is no longer available. (or at least not for a while) All affiliates that have earned credits will have payment sent online via paypal within the next few days. If you have any questions, please send me an email.

Terms:
There has been a major revision to our terms of service policy, please take some time to read it. Links are available on the bottom of this page. I’ll also have a notice regarding our terms of use posted to the news section in the next few days.

So enough technical stuff, this was supposed to be fun right? Have a look around and get a feel for the new stuff that is available to you. I’ll update this file throughout the week to keep you posted on what’s going on.

Hey, I hope you had a fantastic holiday season and happy new year!
— Michael
